Youtube Connector Now Available!

You can now drop a youtube link in the YouTubeURL field when creating editing a song, and tuneUPGRADE will embed the YouTube video into the practice screen for you. It can be shown and hidden with the 'YouTube' button. 

Drop me a note at [email protected] to report any issues or if you've had a positive experience! Note that some youtube videos are not able to be embedded, blocked on the YouTube side, and in this case, I recommend you use the general link field for these.

Pro Tips

  • You can speed up and slow down youtube videos without affecting pitch of a track. Use this to your advantage to slow down difficult backing tracks to play along with. Simply adjust the speed down to .75 or .5 to hear what's going on or to play along while learning!
  • Don't stop at framing in songs alone - frame in your favorite exercise videos, theory videos, or teaching videos and track your time learning as well.
  • Look out for an upcoming feature - Spotify Integration - which will let you frame in and play a track from Spotify! You'll need at least a free account with Spotify (otherwise you'll just a hear a 30 second clip sample) to play back.

tuneUPGRADE now available as iOS and Android apps!

One of the most common features asked about initially was the ability to install tuneUPGRADE as a mobile app. Most users wanted this so they could run tuneUPGRADE in the background while using other apps on their mobile phone. This was tough to do when it's opened in a browser tab, and on iOS, the timer would even stop running! In order to solve this quickly, tuneUPGRADE allows you to install as an app directly from the website itself. Simply log in, navigate to your account, and select 'Install' on the left (alternatively, click here ). If you are on Chrome on Android, PC, or Mac, an installation button will be present. Click install to simply install tuneUPGRADE as an app. If you are on Safari on iOS, on the 'Install' page, click the Share button, then 'Add to Home Screen'.
